“From 2,000 fish in two fish ponds which I began with as a startup, I now have six fish ponds stocked with 6,500 fish. I sell fish all year round, back-to-back. I am working towards acquiring a land for expansion.
“I am happy contributing to my children’s education with the proceeds from my farm. YAGEP is a laudable and an excellent programme. I wish that it is sustained to take more youths off the streets.
“As a fish farmer, the greatest challenge I have is the high cost of fish feeds and its negative effects. In this regard, I appeal that the in State Government encourages private investors to venture into the production of fish feeds through Public Private Partnership.”
