How Gov. Okowa Repositioned My Life –STEPreneur Ovetiri

Evi Ovetiri has HND in Accounting. He hails from Isoko South LGA. He is the CEO of Demeg Studios, an outfit he established after he enrolled into STEP in the 2016/2017 cycle. He was trained and established in Information Technology Services. Ovetiri has carved a niche for himself in ICT business in his locality and beyond and has diversified into other businesses. He shares his story after six years.

‘‘After my education, I was unemployed but did menial jobs to make ends meet. My fortunes changed when I got enrolled into STEP and subsequently established in ICT Services. I have made remarkable growth in my business and asides from computer repairs and installation, I have diversified into photography, makeover and barbing.

‘’I have a big business outfit in Irri town housing the various enterprises which I diversified into. I have trained over 35 persons and currently, I have seven trainees, 10 permanent employees and three causal employees and I am happily married.

“Through the proceeds from the businesses, I acquired a plot of land, built a house, bought a car as well as some sophisticated equipment for my well setup photography studio such as Sony Alpha Camera A5, Nikon D750, Nikon D500 and Nikon D550 Cameras.

‘‘I am grateful to the state government for the privilege to be part of STEP because it has changed my fortune and repositioned my life for the best.’’
