As the Christmas holiday ends for primary and secondary schools in Delta state, Head Teachers in the state have been asked to ensure that classes resume in their schools on Monday, January 10, 2022.
The State Commissioner for Primary Education, Hon. (Chief) Chika Ossai, who announced this while speaking with newsmen in Asaba at the weekend, said all classrooms and school environment should be ready for academic activities and warned against anything to the contrary.
The Commissioner said lateness would not be tolerated this academic session, revealing that any teacher or pupil late to school would be sent home.
He called on parents to get their children and wards ready for school before 7.30am and ensure that their learning materials were complete.
Chika Ossai assured parents and teachers that the state government had put all necessary measures in place to ensure a smooth resumption of schools.
While urging teachers in rural schools to be more dedicated to their duties, the Primary Education Commissioner disclosed that monitoring teams had been set up to monitor school resumption across the state.
